Need Financial Assistance? check out The Big Play

Applications For The Big Play, Which Is In The Second Year Of A Three-Year Initiative Between Jumpstart Charities And The Hockey Canada Foundation To Get 30,000 Kids Into Minor Hockey.


Parents Or Guardians Who Qualify For Financial Assistance Are Encourage To Apply To The Big Play For This Funding To Assist With The Hockey Registration Fees For The 2016/2017 Hockey Season.  Part Of The $500.00 Can Also Go Towards Purchasing New Hockey Equipment.​

Some Important Points To Note Regarding The Big Play Funding Criteria:

  • you must apply for the big play online
  • Hockey Programs Must Be Offered At A Hockey League Or Association That Is Registered With Hockey Canada.
  • Funding Is For Up To $500 Per Child.
  • Should A Child Receive Funding Through This Program, It Will Count Towards Their Maximum $300 Funding For The Year From KidSport Or Jump Start
  • Funds For The Big Play Can Be Used  For Registration Fees And Equipment.

Bauers The First Shift

Do you know someone who is interested in hockey but doesn't want to make a big commitment? Then check out Bauers First Shift. It is an introduction to hockey that includes program, equipment and safety eduction. The program is open to boys and girls ages 6-10 who have never previously registered in minor hockey. For a registration fee of only $199 players get:
- Bauer equipment head to toe
-Welcome Event
-Program overview & education
-Equipment demonstration
-On-Ice Trial
-6 weeks, 1 session/ week
-consistent day and time
